What is Liquid Deodorant

Several quaternary ammonium compounds have been tested and found relatively nontoxic and sufficient nonirritating for use in cosmetic preparation. Quaternaries are particularly suitable for aqueous deodorant preparation. But they stick in to the body and are not easily removed.
Hence the antibacterial and deodorant spray can be prepared, without toxic antiperspirant properties. (0.5-2% of quaternary in water or 5% denatured alcohol of cosmetic grade)

The water soluble derivatives of chlorophyll potassium, copper chlophyllin, sodium derivatives of chlorophyll, sodium magnesium chlophyllin have satisfactory deo-qualities. Chlorophyll derivatives can be used in combination with quaternaries too for the cream or deodorant solution.

If chlorinated phenol derivatives is used in liquid it must be dissolved in propylene glycol and alcohol as iron causes discoloration. It is absolutely necessary to eliminate iron contamination from other ingredients or from equipment when they are used.

These deodorants when mixed in 0.25% concentrations are effective antibacterial products.
